12 week appointment!!!

I went for my 12 week appointment today and we got to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time!! He said that going off the heart beat it was a toss up between a boy and a girl, but since my first sonogram showed the heart beat around 180 it might be a girl... we will find out at 20 weeks! He said my weight gain was good and my blood pressure was a little bit high but still in normal range so everything is good!

I thought November 2, 2011 would never get here! At 1:30 p.m. I had my first sonogram and it was amazing!! We saw our baby (which looked like a little peanut) and saw it's heart beat on the screen and it all became so real! The lady doing the sonogram told us that our baby was "hanging upside down like a monkey" It was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. After the sonogram appointment, I had my first dr's appointment. The nurse went over a bunch of paper work with me, took some blood, and gave me my flu shot. Then Nathan and I went in and talked to Dr. Strider. He told us what to expect and asked us a bunch of family history questions. When we were all done with that we went in the exam room and he did another sonogram just so he could see the baby. The heart beat was around 180 and the dr. said that was great! My due date is June 8, 2012 which is pretty cool because it is Hartley's birthday!

PREGNANT!!!

On September 28th we found out I am pregnant!!! I took the first test and couldn't believe it so I took the second one and it all began to set in! We are both very excited and can't wait for the baby to be here!! 

Our Love Story

Nathan and I have been together for 7 1/2 years now. We met in high school when I was a sophomore and he was a junior. We had been dating for 5 years when he asked me to marry him. It was on Valentine's Day of 2009. He took me on a weekend ski trip for our birthdays and after dinner he decided to take me to the highest point of the resort where you could see all the ski slopes... it was gorgeous! He got down on one knee, told me he loved me, and asked me to be his wife. It was the sweetest thing that has ever happened to me! We got married on May 8, 2010; it was the best day of my life because I married my best friend!
